Privacy

What we store

• Your enrollment video and the audio taken from it. The video is your consent record; the audio teaches the model your voice. Both stay stored for as long as your voice exists on Kinbir.
• Your avatar photo, if you upload one. Stored on our server, along with the animated clips made from it. If you remove the photo, or delete your account, the photo and every clip are deleted.
• Your email address. It is how you sign in, and how we contact you about your account. No marketing lists.
• Your scripts and the text you paste in. Kept so you can come back to them.
• Usage and cost logs, which account generated what, when, how long the audio was, and what it cost to produce. We need this to run the service, bill correctly, and enforce limits.
• Basic analytics events, page visits (path and referrer with a random browser id, no cookies), sign-ins, and generation activity. We also record the country a visit came from - the two-letter code only, never a city and never a street. We still do not store your IP address: the country is worked out by the network in front of our site and only that answer reaches us, so an address never arrives here. We do not track you across other websites.
• Script drafts you edit, when you edit an AI-written script before generating, the before/after pair is kept to improve the writer.

If you never make an account

You can try the voice on our homepage without signing up. When you do, we store the text you typed, the audio made from it, and a random id kept in your browser so we can tell how many people tried it. We use this to see what people write and how the voice handles it. There is no name, no email, and no IP address attached to it.

Do not type anything private into the demo box. It is a public try-it feature, and what you type is kept.

If you join a waitlist, we store the email you gave us and use it only to tell you when that feature opens. Ask us at support@kinbir.com and we will delete it.

What we do not store

• Generated audio and video. Your finished files are deleted from our servers within 24 hours. Download them when they are ready. We cannot recover them later.
• Payment details. We never see or hold card numbers. Payments are handled by our payment processor on their systems, not ours.
• Passwords. There are none. You sign in with a code we email you.

Service providers who process your data for us

Kinbir runs on infrastructure and services provided by other companies. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job, acts on our instructions, and may not use your data for its own purposes. These are the categories, and what each receives:

• Hosting and storage. Everything listed above - your enrollment video, your voice, your photo and your scripts - is stored and processed on infrastructure we rent.
• A language model provider, for writing and rewriting scripts. Text you paste in, or ask us to write, is sent to them. It is not used to train their models.
• An avatar animation provider, which receives your photo and the opening seconds of your voiceover, makes the talking clip, and returns it.
• An email delivery provider, which receives your email address in order to send your sign-in codes and account notices.
• Stripe, our payment processor, which handles payments and holds your card details. We never see them.
• Stock footage libraries, which receive only the English search terms used to find clips - never your script, your voice, or anything identifying you.

Apart from our payment processor, we do not publish the names of these providers, because our choice of tools is commercially sensitive. If you need to know who they are - for a data protection assessment, or because you are deciding whether to trust us with your voice - email support@kinbir.com and we will tell you.

Your data is processed in the United States, wherever you are. If that matters to you, please do not use Kinbir.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from your account page. It removes your cloned voice, the enrollment video it was made from, the extracted audio, your avatar photo and every clip made from it, your scripts, and every voiceover and video you generated. It cannot be undone, and any unused credits are lost. If you have a subscription it is cancelled first, so you are not billed again.

Two things we keep after deletion, deliberately. Our billing records of what was charged, because we need them for our own accounting; and a note that the account existed and was deleted, so that someone banned for misusing a voice cannot immediately sign up again. Neither holds your voice, video, photo or scripts. You can also delete individual voices from the studio without deleting your account.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deletion you can do yourself, immediately, from the account page. For anything else email support@kinbir.com and we will answer within 30 days.

Who can see your data

Your voice is private to your account. Nobody else can generate with it unless you explicitly license it through the marketplace (when that opens). Besides the companies listed above, the only people with access are the people who run Kinbir, and we look at your data only to operate the service, review enrollments, or investigate abuse. Children

Kinbir is not for anyone under 18. Cloning a voice requires a consent recording, and a child cannot give that consent. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18 we delete it and the voice with it.

Changes

If we add a company to the list above, or change what we collect, we update this page and the date at the top, and email account holders when the change matters. Questions: support@kinbir.com.
